Pediatric Hospitalists of Northwest Ohio has been serving Findlay, Bluffton,
and surrounding areas since 1996. We are a group of four experienced,
enthusiastic, board-certified pediatricians whose mission is to provide
compassionate, quality acute care for infants, children and adolescents close
to home. We provide inpatient service to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Our practice is entirely hospital-based. The largest percentage of our practice
involves caring for newborns. We attend high-risk deliveries, perform neonatal
resuscitations, and provide care in the nursery for both well and sick
newborns. We communicate closely with and coordinate follow-up care with the
child's primary care physician.
Other areas of service include pediatric inpatient care, emergency department
consultations, sedations for MRI - magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans -
computed tomography, and EEG - electroencephalography, and non-urgent
outpatient consultations, all done on a referral-only basis. Examples of
pediatric concerns we deal with in an outpatient setting include, but are not
limited to, the following: abdominal pain, chronic constipation, asthma,
gastroesophageal reflux, infantile colic, headaches, school problems, behavior
problems, recurrent infections, developmental problems, bedwetting, and sleep
problems.
